\r\nYadrin is the birthplace of the great actor and People's Artist of the USSR Nikolai Dmitrievich Mordvinov. He became famous for his talent, vivid artistry, and inventive gift. In 2008, the House-Museum of Nikolai Dmitrievich Mordvinov, laureate of the Lenin Prize and three State Prizes, was opened in his hometown. This year we mark the 115th anniversary of the actor's birth, which has been declared the Year of Russian Cinema. The museum houses Nikolai Dmitrievich's personal belongings and documents from his Moscow apartment, donated by his nephews. You can also see photographic portraits and works by the artist A. Leon, depicting the actor in his roles. In one of the halls a merchant's domestic interior from the turn of the 19th–20th centuries has been recreated, and the walls are adorned with photographs and paintings of views of the city of Yadrin, which Nikolai Dmitrievich Mordvinov loved so much.
