About museum

On November 1, 2010, in the village of Kurchaloy, Kurchaloyevsky District, a state cultural institution, the 'State Memorial Museum of A.A. Kadyrov', was founded. It was established to eternally commemorate the outstanding son of the Chechen people, a prominent Russian public and political figure, the first President of the Chechen Republic and Hero of Russia, Kadyrov Akhmat‑Hadji Abdulhamidovich. The memorial museum is intended not only to collect, preserve and promote materials and memorabilia related to Kadyrov's life and activities, but also to engage in research, methodological and educational work, as well as to participate in the development of museology. The museum's official activities began on January 1, 2011, and this became a significant event in the cultural and political life of the Chechen Republic.
