Furmanov Art Gallery named after D. A. Trubnikov
About museum
The Art Gallery named after Dmitry Alexandrovich Trubnikov is located in the old house of Nikolay Ivanovich Losev — a monument of wooden architecture. The house was built by manufacturer Gorbunov for his daughter Aleksandra Grigorievna Loseva and her family in the mid-19th century. The gallery houses works by the Russian artist D. A. Trubnikov (1885–1947), a noted author of thematic and genre paintings, lyrical landscapes, portraits and still lifes. The gallery was founded in 1989 at the initiative of a group of enthusiasts who sought to preserve D. A. Trubnikov's artistic legacy. The museum also hosts historical and local-history exhibitions, as well as creative meetings with interesting people. Thanks to this, the town's residents can become acquainted with the history of their native region.
