About museum
The Sosnovoborsk Art Museum of Contemporary Art was opened on November 1, 1991. This place is a true sanctuary of 20th-century art, where you can find works by great masters such as O. Yakhnin, T. Yablonskaya, E. Shcherbakov, A. Kharshak, V. Vetrogonsky, R. Dominov, V. Yantarev and others. The museum hosts numerous educational and outreach events, as well as art actions, literary and musical evenings. Special attention is paid to children's creativity. In this area the project "We — Children of Atomgrad" was launched; its main goal is to create an association of children's organizations in the towns of nuclear-industry workers in Russia and abroad. Thus, the Sosnovoborsk Art Museum becomes a center of culture, communication and aesthetic education.
