V. A. Zakharov Museum of the History of Cold Weapons
About museum
The museum traces its origins to 2012 as a private museum founded by Vitaly Alexandrovich Zakharov in Salavat. The halls display more than 800 exhibits from his private collection, which he gathered over more than 20 years.
The weapons collection is succinctly complemented by works of art and household items, rare books, costumes and uniforms, awards, as well as firearms, without which the picture would be incomplete. Each blade exhibited in the museum is a unique and singular work of arms craftsmanship, bearing a piece not only of the history of its country but also of world history.
In 2018, after the founder's death, the museum found its second home in Ryazan. Today it holds interactive lessons on history and courage, lectures, tours and other events for various age groups.
