The museum also hosts cultural and historical events, celebrations and exhibitions. On June 21, 2000, a History and Local Lore Museum was opened in the town of Pochinok, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of A. T. Tvardovsky. It contains over 2,000 exhibits that were found in the territory of the Pochinkovsky district. Here you can see collections of coins, peasant clothing and household utensils from the late 19th - early 20th centuries, as well as samovars. The museum has six halls presenting documents and items of I. T. Tvardovsky, as well as materials on the history of the district from ancient times to the present day. The museum also holds various cultural and historical events, celebrations and exhibitions.
