Museum located on the grounds of the former estates of the Chernyshevsky and Pypin families; it is a complex of memorial buildings: the Chernyshevsky family house, the wing of O. S. Chernyshevskaya, the Pypin house, the Pypin wing, and an administrative building which houses the monographic historical‑literary exhibition 'A Son Worthy of the Fatherland'. The culture of the non‑noble intelligentsia of a provincial 19th‑century estate has been preserved here. The Chernyshevsky house exhibition allows visitors to trace the life of a provincial priest's family in which a gifted boy was raised. Houses, wings, monuments, objects recalling their former inhabitants, and unique exhibits make the museum attractive to visitors from all walks of life. Here you can feel the atmosphere of the past and also receive high‑quality guided tours.
