Weapon Museum "Spirit of the Warrior"
About museum
Located on the grounds of the Artillery (Cannon) Yard of the Kazan Kremlin is the Weapon Museum "Spirit of the Warrior", a collection of materials revealing the history of weapons and armament of the Tatars and their ancestors. The museum's exhibits include archaeological materials from the Late Bronze Age to the Golden Horde. Here you can see attributes of ancient warriors: weapons, horse harness, belts and jewelry, which provide insight into their culture and everyday life. The museum displays graphic works by Valery Blokhin and sculptural reconstructions of warriors from various eras created by master Alexander Bochkarev. All of this makes it possible to clearly trace the history of weapon development and imagine warriors of the past. Thus, visitors can combine their perception of the material world with its embodiment in miniature.
