The Museum of the History of the Village Elkhovo named after Khaliulla Akhmetshin was opened on December 20, 1961. The museum's founder was World War II veteran Akhmetshin Khaliulla Khayrullovich. As of today, the museum's collection comprises 12,965 storage units, including graphics, paintings, sculpture, applied art, household and ethnographic items, numismatics, printed materials, a natural science collection and documents. The exhibition is arranged in seven halls and includes sections starting from the emergence of life on Earth. Visitors can attend museum classes, tours of the exhibition halls and of the villages Nizhnee Abdulovo and Elkhovo, lecture-demonstrations using traditional games, as well as events for children and adults.
