I.P. Morozov Memorial Museum
About museum
On April 26, 1998, the Memorial Museum named after Ivan Pavlovich Morozov was opened in the village of Mezhador in the Sysolsky District of the Komi Republic. It was established with the support of the Government of the Komi Republic, the republican public fund named after I. P. Morozov, the administration of the Sysolsky District, and his relatives. The museum displays photographs, documents, and personal belongings of the Morozov family, as well as the recollections of locals about Ivan Pavlovich. It attracts both adults and children. On his birthday and on the day of remembrance, meetings are held here for those who knew him. On April 20, 2018, the museum celebrated its 20th anniversary, on which occasion a new temporary exhibition, "Self-Portrait Against the Symbols of an Era: Nikolai Viktorovich Morozov," was opened. It is dedicated to another native of Mezhador — Nikolai Viktorovich Morozov, who participated in the grand projects of the Soviet Union and in the creation of its symbols. The opening was attended by relatives of both Morozovs, leading officials of the republic and the district, creative groups, and village residents.
