Museum of the History of the Airborne Forces

There is no equivalent in Russia to the Museum of the History of the Airborne Forces, where one can learn about the development of the Airborne Forces and their participation in wars and armed conflicts, from the Great Patriotic War up to modern hotspots. The museum was opened on July 28, 1972, and is housed in a 19th-century building. It features 13 halls and the office of the Airborne Forces commander, as well as the history of the Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne School. Dioramas by artists of the M. B. Grekov Studio of Military Artists introduce visitors to the events of January-February 1942 and the feat of the 6th company of Pskov paratroopers in February-March 2000. A visit to this museum will be unforgettable for every guest. It is a branch of the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Moscow.
