Akhmetshin Khaliulla Khayrullovich – a local historian, museum worker, self-taught artist, Honored Worker of Culture of the Tatar ASSR (1967). He was born in the village of Nizhnee Abdulovo. From 1928 to 1930 he worked as a lumberjack in Arkhangelsk. Upon returning to his native village he held the positions of chairman of the village consumer cooperative and director of the butter factory. In 1934 he was drafted into the army; he served in the Pacific Fleet and worked as editor of the fleet newspaper.
 
Akhmetshin took part in the Great Patriotic War on the Japanese front until 1947. After being discharged due to disability, he returned to Nizhnee Abdulovo and became director of the local club and head of the library. In 1961 he began collecting materials for a future museum of the history of the villages Nizhnee Abdulovo and Bagryazh-Yelkhovo. He developed the museum's concept, created the exhibition, and made many of the exhibits. Akhmetshin headed the museum until 1988, and since 1995 the museum has borne his name. Akhmetshin was a talented artist; his first self-portrait was painted in 1947.
 
He was awarded the Order of the Red Star and the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st class, as well as the Medal "For the Victory over Japan." Akhmetshin Khaliulla Khayrullovich passed away on June 1, 1989.
