About museum
In 2009, a Department of Decorative and Applied Arts and Crafts called khAnse, which means 'Pattern', was established at the district museum and exhibition center. In 2014, by decree of the Head of the Administration of the Sovetsky District, it was decided to reorganize the center into the Municipal Budgetary Cultural Institution 'Museum of History and Crafts of the Sovetsky District', incorporating the Department of Decorative and Applied Arts and Crafts (DPA&C). The main focus of the department is the preservation, revival and development of traditional and contemporary forms of decorative and applied arts, as well as holding master classes, KPP, practical sessions, seminars, club activities, participation in festivals, fairs, exhibitions and competitions, and organizing exhibitions. In addition, the department conducts practical classes and leisure activities for various segments of the population for public holidays, within the Year of the Family, International Day of Friendship, the Day of the Indigenous Small-Numbered Peoples of the North, International Day of Persons with Disabilities, International Day of Older Persons, Mother's Day, etc.
