Museum of History and Achievements of the West Siberian Metallurgical Combine
About museum
In 2002 the Museum of History and Achievements of the West Siberian Metallurgical Combine was established by Order No. 245. It was opened on July 19, 2004, on the eve of Zapsib's 40th anniversary. The museum houses three exhibition halls: the history of construction, the history and achievements of the combine, and a Great Patriotic War hall. Permanent exhibitions feature works by the Young Technicians Club, award insignia, and examples of Soviet everyday life. The museum's collections comprise approximately ten thousand items, such as photographs, documents, banners and other combine awards, memoirs and personal belongings of Zapsib employees. The museum's main goal is to support the continuity between generations. Various events are held here: themed tours, interactive games for children, career guidance for students, and assistance during production internships.
