In the village of Davydovo is located the only museum in the world dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding Russian composer A. P. Borodin. For three years he spent his summers here with his favorite pupil A. P. Dianin. In the museum you can see original interior items, works of art, letters and documents. The best arias from the opera "Prince Igor" and the songs of the peasants of the village of Davydovo were created here. The museum's exhibits tell the story of the Dianin family's activities. You can also visit the Mokeev Kurgan — a unique defensive structure, an archaeological monument of the 12th century. The museum offers guided tours "A. P. Borodin in the village of Davydovo" and "The Dianin Family." He bequeathed his archive to A. P. Dianin, who passed it on to his descendants. Thus, the museum dedicated to A. P. Borodin will forever remain in people's memories and legends.
