About museum

The Lapshang Craft Center has been fortunate. Above all, this is because it had a creatively gifted inspirer, Vladimir Alekseevich Dolinin. Watching crafts die out in the village and villagers' skills disappear, he resolved to stop the process at all costs. Not on a mass scale (that would hardly have succeeded), but at least within a small center with the help of talented and skilled people. Over the years the newly created center not only expanded and strengthened, but the creative abilities of its creators also grew.

The craft center offers guided museum tours that include participation in engaging master classes: blacksmithing, making a sled without a single nail, a pottery workshop, clay sculpting, and decorative painting on wood.
