Pasternak House
About museum
The museum complex 'Pasternak House' is the house of factory manager S. Morozov, restored in 2008, in which Boris Pasternak lived in 1916. The museum also includes two other sites: the B. L. Pasternak House-Museum in Peredelkino and the Literary Museum-Reserve in Chistopol. Both museums display the poet's original belongings. In Vsevolodo-Vilva the memorial element is the surrounding nature and the atmosphere of the Ural North, reflecting Pasternak's poetry. Copies of photographs of the writer, his friends and relatives are exhibited here, as well as documents and photographs dedicated to Boris Zbarsky — a biochemist who invited the poet to Vsevolodo-Vilva. In front of the house grows a spreading cedar tree, which the poet and his friend Boris Zbarsky used to embellish their photograph in 1916.
