On April 9 at 14:00 the exhibition 'The Last Day of the War' will open at the city branch of the Borodino Field Museum-Reserve. Prepared jointly with the Naro-Fominsk Local History Museum and the search detachment 'Boomerang-DOSAAF', it reveals the victorious path of the Red Army to Berlin in 1945.\r\n\r\nThe exhibition was prepared ahead of the most important date for all Russians - the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.\r\n\r\nIts thematic center is the installation 'The Last Day of the War', which symbolically represents Soviet liberator soldiers in the interior of a typical German living room with authentic trophy items. It is complemented by genuine uniforms of Red Army and Wehrmacht soldiers, finds made during search operations in Eastern Europe, and trophy objects from the collections of the Borodino Museum-Reserve that belonged to Soviet fighters who took part in the battles on the Borodino Field in 1941-1942.\r\n\r\nThe second important component of the exhibition is the visual program, primarily paintings and graphics by Soviet artists who witnessed the capture of Berlin. They present to the viewer the spring city in bloom, the destruction caused by the fighting, and the everyday life of the Soviet liberator soldiers.\r\n\r\nWrite it in your diary - visit the exhibition!
