A museum program 'They Fought for the Motherland' was held at the school in the village of Radishchevo and at the A.N. Radishchev Museum. Students were told about participants of the Great Patriotic War — residents of the villages of Radishchevo and Annenkovo in the Kuznetsk District. As part of the event, the children learned about the feats of our fellow countrymen, their heroic battles, and the awards they earned through hard work.
On June 22, 1941, the familiar world with its ordinary joys collapsed. War burst in and swept millions of human lives into its maelstrom. The residents of the villages of Radishchevo and Annenkovo were drafted and sent to the front to defend their Fatherland. Our land raised true heroes. Students were told about the deeds of Sergey Fedorovich Bazanov, who, despite being severely wounded, refused to be evacuated until he had carried out his order to the end. The feat of Fedor Efimovich Chernyaev, who, despite enemy fire, swam across the Dnieper to the opposite bank six times with wounded soldiers, saving his comrades' lives. The feat of Andrey Zakharovich Armeev, who, as part of the 328th Rifle Division, bravely repelled an enemy counterattack and liberated land from fascism.
Other fellow countrymen who celebrated victory in Berlin included: Petr Ivanovich Gorshkov, Grigory Yakovlevich Zemskov, Petr Semenovich Matyunev, Andrey Fedorovich Demidov.
An interactive game was held for students in grades 2–3 of School No. 5 in the city of Kuznetsk, during which they became real soldiers and received a secret mission. To complete the mission, the first thing the children did was correctly pack their field rucksack, choosing only the most necessary items. Then the children tried on the roles of tanker, pilot, and scout, each deciding which role they would take in the squad. The children successfully completed the secret mission by solving a crossword and assembling the word 'Victory'.
Participants of the program are proud of their fellow countrymen who gave the world the Great Victory. The children will carefully preserve the memory of their deeds and pass it on to the next generation.
