Gornoknyazevsk Natural-Ethnographic Complex
About museum
In 2001, a natural and ethnographic complex in the form of an open-air museum was established in the settlement of Gornoknyazevsk, featuring an extensive collection of ethnographic materials. It showcases objects of the material and spiritual culture of the indigenous peoples of the North, as well as permanent farm buildings and a traditional dwelling. Today it is a branch of the House of Crafts, which offers visitors various opportunities to engage with the culture of the indigenous peoples of Yamal. Guided tours with rituals, tastings of national dishes, master classes in traditional crafts, and cultural events based on the traditional festivals and customs of the indigenous peoples of Yamal are held here. Visitors can spend their leisure time actively and also develop their creative potential. The festivals and events attract many residents and guests of Salekhard and the district.
