During the spring holidays you can meet many school groups in the halls of the A.N. Radishchev Museum. Children come here for new knowledge, emotions and impressions. The interactive program "A Visit to Praskovya Klimentyevna" is especially popular; participants included pupils from the school of the village of Radishchevo in the Kuznetsky District.

During the program the children learned about Sasha Radishchev's childhood years. The future writer's nanny told the children that his world was colorful and connected with national traditions, customs and rituals. The children recalled many proverbs and solved interesting riddles from Praskovya Klimentyevna's antique box. They also tried writing the old-fashioned way, with a goose quill.

The young visitors also became acquainted with the life and everyday routines of 18th-century peasants, explored the layout of a "kurnaya" izba (a traditional smoke-hut) and heard a folk legend according to which an angel gave a window to a person. They learned the history of a preserved carved window trim (nalichnik) connected with the life of the Radishchev family, which served as a protective talisman for their home. Program participants were able to use a rubel (a traditional smoothing tool), wind a ball of yarn onto a spindle, set the wheel of a spinning wheel (samopryakha) in motion and try on peasant clothing. At the end, guests took part in folk games, circle dances and sampled sbiten (a traditional honey-based beverage).

Events are held by prior arrangement.
