Municipal autonomous cultural institution 'Nizhny Tagil City Park of Culture and Recreation named after Alexey Petrovich Bondin'. The park is located in the central district of the city on the shore of the Tagil Pond; its area is 8 hectares. The park has established infrastructure and a favorable geographical location (public transport routes, convenient access roads for vehicles). The park was founded in the early 19th century by the Demidovs, the factory owners. In 1947 the city park was renamed in honor of the Tagil writer A.P. Bondin. The house preserved in the park is now the Bondin Memorial Literary Museum. The park has become a venue for social, charitable and promotional events. All-Russian and international festivals are held here. Traditional celebrations are consistently very popular among park visitors: 'Children's Day', 'City Day', 'Victory Day', the Parade of Children's Brass Bands, the Color Festival (Holi), 'Maslenitsa', 'Sabantuy' and others.
