Military-Historical Museum 'Yukhnov — City of Military Valor'
About museum
In 1963, for the 20th anniversary of the liberation of the town of Yukhnov from the Nazi occupiers, a large amount of material was collected for the future establishment of a district local history museum. On May 5, 1975, this institution was officially opened in the building of the former district Komsomol committee (RK VLKSM). In the late 1980s the museum received a new building located next to the memorial complex at the mass grave of those who fell in the Great Patriotic War. Two exhibition halls are open here: the first is devoted to the Great Patriotic War, and the second is equipped with a plasma monitor presenting documentary footage from the war years.
