About museum
\r\nIn 1985 a museum of the Vinogradov movement was opened, which over time acquired a large collection of works by professional artists and folk craftsmen. In 1990 the museum became independent and received the status of an art museum. It was built in the Neoclassical style based on a design by the well-known architect and architectural theorist I. V. Zholtovsky. The interior of the monument is impressive thanks to its high ceilings, arched windows and snow-white columns with carved capitals. The museum exhibits works by such outstanding artists as M. S. Ageev, D. P. Kormilitsyn, M. I. Malyutin, L. A. Uspensky, S. I. Dyupinsky, V. N. Blinov and E. S. Zorov. The museum displays authentic works of painting, graphics, sculpture, decorative and applied arts, and folk art, executed in a variety of techniques and genres.
