About museum

The Verkh-Neyvinsky Museum is the result of many years of work collecting historical material by a group of enthusiasts whose names every resident of Verkh-Neyvinsk should know. On April 26, 1968, the Verkh-Neyvinsky Museum of Military and Labor Glory was opened. The Verkh-Neyvinsky Museum of Local History is a department of the Municipal Autonomous Cultural Institution "Center of Cultural Leisure." The museum's focus is history and local studies. Today the museum holds more than 2,600 items in its main collection, over 1,100 items in its scientific and auxiliary collection, and the library contains about 3,000 books. The museum has three permanent exhibitions: "Domestic Life of a Worker at the End of the 19th – Beginning of the 20th Century", "The Great Patriotic War", and "Historical Settlement."
