The Tymovsky Local History Museum was founded in 1994 and operated continuously until December 2020, during which 13 exhibitions were created. In the last month of 2020 the museum moved to new premises, where an exhibition "The Calling Card of the Tymovsky District" was established, comprising four sections. Currently the museum's second exhibition "Agriculture of the Tymovsky District: History and Modernity" is under restoration; it will reveal the history of the district's formation and development. The museum's collections include 81,424 storage units, including 74,722 items of archaeology and archaeozoology. The museum actively organizes various events such as lectures, talks, history hours, master classes, musical evenings, exhibitions, etc.
