About museum

In 1992 a school museum was established, based on a small correspondence between schoolchildren and former inmates of Kolyma. It is headed by Honored Teacher of Russia M. P. Boyarova. At present it is one of the best museums in the republic. It contains materials about the establishment of GULAG camps in Oymyakon, about the construction of the Khandyga–Magadan road, and about the life and work of prominent poets and writers who were exiled in our region and left a magnificent literary heritage.
