Skovorodinsky District Local History Museum named after P. A. Florensky
About museum
In September 2004, the Skovorodinsky District Local History Museum named after P. A. Florensky was established on the basis of the Museum of Military and Labor Glory of the locomotive depot. It has two exhibition halls. In the first, visitors can learn about the history of the district's formation and development, the early Russian settlement on the Amur, the excavations of the Albazin ostrog and other interesting facts. The second hall presents the history of the town of Skovorodino and the Great Patriotic War, as well as collections of numismatics, bonistics (banknote collecting), phaleristics (orders and medals) and other items. Currently the museum holds 11,726 items, and the most valuable and interesting can be found in the sections on everyday life and ethnography, the natural science collection and the documentary fund. Virtual tours of the museum are available on the social networks Instagram and Odnoklassniki, and visitors can observe all sanitary anti-pancreatic norms.
