About museum
On July 10, 2010, in Pervomaisky District, Nikolai Vasilyevich Vitruk's long-held dream became a reality — an art gallery was opened. Nikolai Vasilyevich is a well-known scholar, teacher, writer and public educator, and a researcher of issues in constitutional law and constitutional justice. The gallery's collections consist of approximately 9,000 exhibits from the personal collections and holdings of N. V. Vitruk. It features permanent exhibitions: in memory of the gallery's founder and donor N. V. Vitruk — 'A Man of the World: From a Country Boy to a Constitutional Judge', 'Eseniniana' dedicated to the life and work of S. A. Yesenin, 'Clay Toys of Russia', 'Painting and Graphics', and 'Folk Trades and Crafts of Russia'. The gallery also holds meetings with artists, folk craftsmen and craftswomen, and presents traveling exhibitions from the gallery's collections in other cultural institutions.
