Shadrinsk Local History Museum named after V. P. Biryukov is a municipal institution that originated from the unique Shadrinsk scientific repository founded in 1918 and named after Vladimir Pavlovich Biryukov. The museum houses a substantial collection of exhibits representing the two-century history of the city of Shadrinsk. It also displays paleontological and archaeological collections, taxidermied animals and birds of the Trans-Urals, antique furniture and wall clocks, works by I. D. Ivanov-Shadra and F. A. Bronnikov, examples of artistic cast-iron casting, porcelain and faience items, paintings and numismatic exhibits. The museum's collections number more than 60,000 items. In addition to tours and lectures, the museum conducts walking and bus city tours, presents exhibitions of new acquisitions, and exhibitions related to the participation of Trans-Urals residents in the Great Patriotic War. Here you can also see works by artists and masters of decorative and applied arts of the Sadovy Region.
