Oparino Local History Museum
About museum
In 1999, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the settlement of Oparino, a museum was founded at the initiative of the district veterans' council. For several years before its opening, people actively collected materials and carried out expeditions to abandoned villages to search for rural household items, interviewed veterans and production leaders, and consulted local historians. Today the museum has about 3,000 exhibits: numismatics, documents, photographs, paintings, household items, church books, taxidermy specimens and much more. Some of them are over a hundred years old and are well preserved. In addition, the museum regularly hosts new exhibitions, museum lessons for schoolchildren and other events for people of all ages.
