The regional target program "Development of Culture in Small and Medium Towns of the Samara Region" helped open the exhibition center 'People's Gallery' in the center of Zhigulevsk. The premises of the Palace of Culture "Zhigulevsky" have long attracted artists, musicians, poets and other creative individuals. The gallery is equipped with modern equipment, allowing events to be held at a higher level. On February 21, 2006, Zhigulevsk's birthday, the 'People's Gallery' was presented to the public as a gift. Over the years many interesting events have taken place there, including the photo exhibition "Faces of the City" by the duo "Photocafe" and the photo contest "Zhigulevsk Through the Lens" as part of the city festival "Light Your Star." The latter also gave an impetus to holding photography master classes.
