About museum

The museum was established in 1996 and in 2004 received its own building in the center of the settlement. It houses about 12,000 historical items that present the history of the district and its contemporary achievements. The museum hosts exhibitions on various themes, for example 'The 20th Century: Events and People' and 'Novovarshavtsy in the 21st Century'. The diorama 'The Nature of the Native Land' has become especially popular. The museum also holds events for children and adults, in particular the project 'Masters of the Novovarshav Land' and the program 'Traditions of Old Siberia'. Meetings of the museum club 'Zavalinka' and events within the 'Bridges of Memory' project, where keepers of material and spiritual culture gather, are also popular. The museum's doors are always open to visitors and residents of the district.
