Kuznetsk Museum and Exhibition Center
About museum
In the small provincial town of Kuznetsk, the Municipal Budgetary Institution "Kuznetsk Museum and Exhibition Center" is a place where people gather to bring beauty into the world and preserve the memory of the town's and region's history. It was founded on September 25, 1921, at the initiative of Ivan Vasilyevich Klestov, who became its first director. It houses two departments — Local History and Military Glory — which enhance the town and actively participate in its cultural life. The organizers hold a wide variety of events: readings, quests, interactive programs, and excursions. On the museum grounds there is an open-air space equipped for national ritual events. It also offers various programs for schools, including lessons in homeland studies, local history sessions, and exhibitions.
