The V. V. Nabokov Museum at 47 Bolshaya Morskaya Street is the only museum in the world dedicated to the life and work of the writer. It is located in a three-story mansion in the early modern style that belonged to the Nabokovs from 1898. The dining room and library interiors in the Louis XV style have been preserved, and an elegant green drawing room is currently being restored. The museum collection includes the writer's personal belongings, items related to the history of the house and the Nabokov family, first editions of the author's works, and a large scholarly library. The museum also houses a unique collection of Nabokov's butterflies, unparalleled in Russia. This museum is the only place in the world where one can experience the atmosphere of Vladimir Vladimirovich Nabokov's life and work.
