About museum

Aleksey Mikhailovich Mametyev is the founder of the museums of the Nagaybak District. He restored the people's national identity, was a veteran of the Great Patriotic War (World War II), a local historian, publicist, and the author of unique books. In 1985, thanks to his initiative, a local history museum was opened in the village of Fershampenauz. Subsequently, museums were opened in the village of Parizhe, the settlements of Ostrolenskoye and Kasselsky, as well as the House of Stone and an art gallery in Fershampenauz. The Fershampenauz museum displays materials reflecting the history of the Nagaybaks, their culture, and the history of the Nagaybak District. It houses Aleksey Mikhailovich's personal belongings, scholarly works, and manuscripts. The exhibition halls present information about the participation of Nagaybak District residents in the Great Patriotic War (World War II), household and farm items, tools, and examples of traditional folk costume. The museum's total area is 90 sq. m, and its collections number about 3,500 items.
