About museum

On August 3, 2001, on the basis of the Public Museum of Military and Labor Glory the Museum of the History of Zavetinsky District was established. It features five exhibition halls: 'History and Nature of Zavetinsky District', Local History Hall, Exhibition Hall, 'Archaeology', and Hall of Military Glory. The museum houses exhibits from Imperial Russia to the present, some of which are more than a hundred years old. The museum's collection comprises 5,035 items, including 4,058 primary and 977 scientific and auxiliary items, which are supplemented each year by over 100 exhibits.
