About museum

In May 2016, an incredible Museum of the History of the Telephone was opened in Masterslavl. The basis for it was the collection of the Geneva collector, which was bought and brought to Russia by the CEO of Mastertel, Vitaly Yezopov. Here, visitors can get acquainted with all stages of the development of telephone communication, try on the role of a tour guide and appreciate the rare collection of telephones collected from all over the globe. Here are the first devices from the Swedish company Ericsson, American and British samples from the early 20th century, the very first military telephones, World War II field telephones from bunkers in Russia and Germany, as well as design models from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Here you can see wooden, bakelite, metal and plastic phones of various shapes and colors, unusual and stylish, luxurious and technological - more than two dozen exhibits will provide the younger generation with a rare chance to get acquainted with the history of the phone on the planet.
