This museum allows people to explore the history and culture of the peoples of Tomsk Oblast. The museum was opened in 1996 and is a branch of the Tomsk Regional Art Museum. It houses 1,165 collection items, including 786 items of the main fund and 379 scientific and auxiliary items. The primary focus of this branch is the collection and preservation of objects of the material and spiritual culture of the indigenous peoples of the North. The museum displays unique items made of bone, fur, and goose-webbed skin, as well as many objects decorated with traditional ornament. In addition, the museum features a large collection of works by contemporary craftsmen: wood carving and painting, root carving, bead embroidery, and others. This museum gives visitors the opportunity to become acquainted with the history and culture of the peoples of Tomsk Oblast.
