About museum

The “Fountain Craft Museum” presents the history of the creation and development of Peterhof’s water-supply system. Both traditional exhibits and modern multimedia technologies are used here to show visitors an interactive diagram of the water supply’s development since the time of Peter I. The exhibition includes photographs of historical structures, parts of water equipment, as well as nozzles and tools used by fountain masters. Documents documenting the restoration of Peterhof’s fountains after World War II provide an understanding of the importance of this craft.
