On May 9, 2000, the Morgaushsky District local history museum — the Museum of the Upper Chuvash — was opened. The Hall of Remembrance displays exhibits dedicated to the combat feats of the people of Morgaushi during the Great Patriotic War, as well as documents, photographs of the fallen, and military gear. The Hall of Military and Labor Achievements contains documents and images depicting the history, life and everyday practices, and the combat and labor activities of the district's workers. The Decorative and Applied Arts Hall exhibits works by masters of wicker weaving, embroidery, and wood carving. The Chuvash Costume Hall displays items of traditional household life, as well as relics of the Upper Chuvash. The collections hold documents and photographs reflecting the life and activities of the district's organizations, enterprises, and schools. The exhibition hall hosts exhibitions by masters of folk art. The museum offers insight into the history and culture of the Upper Chuvash, as well as their everyday life, combat and labor activities.
