Museum of the Central Children's Music School named after A. N. Scriabin
About museum
In May 2012 the school's museum was opened. Present at the opening were Alexander Serafimovich Scriabin (grandson of A. N. Scriabin), Alexander Ivanovich Lazarev (director of the Moscow State Memorial Museum of A. N. Scriabin), staff of the A. N. Scriabin House-Museum, Svetlana Viktorovna Guseva (director of the Dzerzhinsky Local History Museum), representatives of the city administration, the school's teachers, former graduates and members of the artistic intelligentsia. The museum houses an extensive collection of materials: archival documents, photographs, handwritten scores, musical instruments and personal belongings of the teachers who were at the origins of the city's musical culture. The museum also includes an exhibition dedicated to Pavel Grigorievich Berenkov, the founder and first director of the school, as well as other displays that tell the story of the period when the school acquired a permanent home in the building at 15 Kirov Avenue.
