On May 22, 2015, the Museum of Fine Arts of the 20th–21st centuries, a branch of the Ulyanovsk Regional Art Museum, opened in Ulyanovsk. The permanent exhibition presents early 20th-century art, Russian classical avant-garde, Soviet and contemporary art. The museum hosts exhibitions of various types, including conceptual exhibitions, displays from the collections, solo shows by Ulyanovsk artists and exhibitions from other museums. Works by famous artists such as K. Korovin, I. Grabar, Z. Serebriakova, B. Kustodiev, N. Goncharova, M. Larionov, P. Konchalovsky, A. Lentulov, O. Rozanova, I. Mashkov, M. Saryan and S. Konenkov are represented here. In 2015, a representative office of the A.S. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts was opened at the Museum, where scientific and practical conferences on contemporary museum theory and practice are held.
