A.P. Gaidar Literary Museum, Arzamas
About museum
On October 29, 1967, the A. P. Gaidar Museum was opened to visitors thanks to the active participation of the youth of Arzamas. After a six-year reconstruction, in 2010 the museum began a new life. It presents the writer's family tree and gives a detailed account of his fate and the childhood he spent in Arzamas. Here visitors can see relics and reminiscences of Gaidar's relatives, learn more about his family and engage with his work. The city became the writer's second homeland, a source of inspiration and strength. It is also the home of his son T. Gaidar and his grandson E. Gaidar. The museum's exhibitions include authentic collections of worthy successors of the Gaidar name. Both abroad and in Russia, this museum is a leading institution in terms of the quantity and significance of its collection materials.
