Moruk Nasleg History Museum
About museum
Suola is a village located on the right bank of the Suola River, which serves as the center of the Moruk Nasleg of the Megino-Kangalassky Ulus of Yakutia. It is only 58 km from the ulus center, the village of Mayya, and 12 km from the nasleg center, the village of Khorobut. Records about the Moruk nasleg first appeared in 1610 among the six volosts of the Meginsky ulus. In 1768 the Taragay and Altan naslegs were separated from it. Until 1912 the Moruk nasleg was divided into six naslegs. In the 1950s there was a consolidation of naslegs: Moruk and Taragay in 1952, and Moruk and Altan in 1957.
