Menzelinsk Historical and Local History Museum was founded in 1991 and is located on the second floor of the House of Creativity building. The museum has seven halls with various exhibits and documents. In the Hall of Nature and Archaeology visitors will see stone, bronze and iron Age tools, paleontological finds, and learn about the tribes that lived in the area, as well as see models of the Menzelinsk ostrog (fortress) of 1584 and the city of Menzelinsk in the 19th century. In the Menzelinsk Fair Hall you can learn about the central fair square and what was traded there. "Menzelinsk during the Great Patriotic War" — this hall is dedicated to local heroes and their authentic exhibits. The hall devoted to the main stages of the Great Patriotic War presents an interactive exhibition using films.
