Literary and Memorial House-Museum of V.A. Chivilikhin
About museum
The House-Museum of Vladimir Chivilikhin is located not far from the railway station. The building was constructed in 1928, when the writer's family lived here. Museum staff have recreated the atmosphere of that time. In the pantry you can see household items and utensils from the 1920s–1930s. The hall displays the writer's personal belongings, books, manuscripts, and photographs. Particularly popular is the collection of conifer cones donated to the museum by Elena Vladimirovna. The House-Museum regularly hosts the all-Russian and all-Kuzbass Chivilikhin Readings, which bring together writers, poets and other guests concerned with environmental issues and the preservation of Russia's historical and cultural heritage.
