Krapivinsky Local History Museum
About museum
Krapivinsky Local History Museum began its existence in 1957 when history teacher Nikolai Danilovich Konev created a school museum. Ten years later Taisiya Pavlovna Chumachenko continued his work, expanding and enriching the museum's collections. In 2001 the museum received official status as a state district museum. In 2008 a new building was constructed to house the museum and the library. Today the Krapivinsky Local History Museum features various exhibitions: ethnographic, natural history, and a Hall of Military Glory reflecting the contribution of Krapivinsky residents to the Great Patriotic War. The museum also includes the Artist's Parlor of Vladimir Dmitrievich Vuchichevich-Sibirsky. All this makes the Krapivinsky Local History Museum an interesting and educational place to visit.
