Scientific Center 'Archaeology and Restoration'

About museum

The Scientific Center 'Archaeology and Restoration' is located in the historic center of Tula. It was built together with the Kazan Church and belonged to several priests. The two-story stone building has remained almost unchanged, with several extensions from different periods. The scientific center hosts meetings with archaeologists and workshops for children, as well as a permanent exhibition 'Hoards — a source of information'. It displays many hoards found in various regions of Russia, including Tula, Bryansk, Kursk, Belgorod, Oryol, Tambov and Lipetsk oblasts. The oldest of them is over three thousand years old. All these hoards are kept in the collections of the Kulikovo Field museum-reserve.
