About museum
On May 6, 2010 a local history museum was opened, located on the 3rd floor of the former district party committee building. It contains exhibits collected by local historians in recent years. The museum is divided into three themed halls: the Soviet Period Hall with items of religious purpose, paintings, sculpture, collections of telephone sets, and attributes of Pioneer and Komsomol life; the Great Patriotic War Hall with a USSR flag, weapons, photo-documents, and personal effects of veterans; and the 19th–20th Centuries Hall with peasant clothing, cultural and art objects, books, and personal belongings of Kamenka's poets and writers. The museum houses over 3,000 exhibits.
